It's almost time to choose your birds!!
Surveys
SMOKE TESTS: Surveys are going to be sent 5% of backers.
It's completely random who gets these early surveys. The purpose of these is to troubleshoot before I blast it out to all 700+ of you.
PLEASE report any problems to me immediately: if items are missing a design variant, shipping prices look incorrect, or you are unable to purchase an addon you want, come to me as soon as you can.

The first backer to report each major issue will receive a free random mini feather pin with their pledge rewards.
Once any problems have been rooted out and corrected, I will send all surveys! The faster you complete them, the faster I can get final counts and get you your birds.

The preorder shop is open. Please note, Preorders will ship immediately AFTER crowdfunding orders are fulfilled to be fair.

Hey all!
Earlybird
First off, I want to thank you for the great discussion and feedback on the earlybird pin design. I've tried hybridizing the two designs for a final version, so let me know what you think!

At the end of this update, I've included ALL the pins so you can start to think about which you want!
Backerkit Surveys
Surveys will be sent by the end of this week. This is where you choose which pins you want, let me know your mailing address, and have the option to add additional items.
Stickers - I am working on putting together sticker sheets for ALL the birds now. It should be a total of 4-5 different sheets that will be available.
"All In" Pledge Level - I will be adding a pledge level that you can switch to (and pay the difference) to get one of EVERYTHING if you're interested in the full set!
Other Stuff
Payments - about 30 of you still have failed payments, if these aren't fixed by May 2nd I'm going to have to drop you from the project, sorry! You will be getting Backerkit emails to fix your payment method if you are one of these people.
Preorder Store - will also open when surveys are sent! So those who did not back will be able to get items as well, though early backers always get the best deal!
Timeline - we are well on schedule, I should have pins ordered about a week after the surveys are sent. The faster you fill out the surveys the faster I can order the pins! So keep an eye out for more updates.

First off, thank you ALL for your tremendous support! I've wanted to make a huge series of local birds for a LONG time and you are actively helping me make that a reality!
So, what's next?
Right now, all the pledges are processing. If your card was declined for whatever reason, you will get an email from Backerkit to fix it. Please do this as soon as you can!
After 1 month without a successfully charged card I will need to drop your pledge.
In about two to three weeks, early May, you will get an email from BackerKit with a link to the post campaign pledge manager/survey. With it you will tell me which pins you want, your shipping address, and you will pay for shipping. Shipping estimates, as well as general timeline, are on the main page.
During the survey you will also have the opportunity to purchase additional add-on items!
I am working to put together sticker sheets including each design before I launch the surveys.
Earlybirds
Here is something specific to earlybirds on my project (and those who might want to add pins later on)
I was not happy with my initial "earlybird" design and have made a new version which I am MUCH happier with.
are we all cool with the new version instead of the old? Please let me know in the comments.
My To-Do list
A lot of work is ahead for me. I still have FIVE bird designs that I need to complete and may be adding a SIXTH because I can't believe I forgot the RED BELLIED WOODPECKER. I will be sending all designs to my manufacturer as soon as I am able.

- Send mockups to manufacturer
- Design Backing Card
- Design Thank You Card
- Compile Sticker Sheets
- Set up Pledge Manager and Preorder Shop
- Decide if I should add a "one of everything" pledge (over 30 pins) that folks can switch to

This has already been an AMAZING final 48 hours!
Earlier today we unlocked the Osprey, Bald Eagle, and Red Tailed Hawk and we JUST hit funding for the Sparrow, Kinglet, and Screech owl!
Designs coming in soon - any suggestions for plants to pair them with?
The final three to unlock now are:
- Purple Martin
- Indigo Bunting
- Kestrel
If we hit that 30k goal, maybe I'll even let backers choose a couple more birds...
Lets keep this going!

We are nearing the end of this campaign but I have even MORE birds that you can still unlock.
Raptors have just been unlocked including Osprey, Red Tailed Hawk, and Bald Eagle.
Up next to unlock are
